Nona Gaprindashvili won the Senior Chess World Championship (+65) in Italy and won the title for the eighth time.
"The legend of the world of chess won the title of the world champion among senior chess players (+65) for the eighth time!
It should be noted that our legend is also the winner of eleven chess Olympiads and the five-time world champion in classical chess," reads the information released by the Georgian Chess Federation.
