Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has said that Georgia's place is in the European Union.
"Poland supports Georgia on its path to European integration," Morawiecki said at a joint press conference with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in Batumi.
According to him, the aggression that took place in Georgia in 2008 is still felt and no one can understand Ukrainians better than Georgians.
He said that 20 percent of the territory of Georgia is occupied by Russia.
"I would like to express my strong support to our friends, who are in a difficult situation in Georgia, because the aggression that took place in Georgia in 2008 is still felt. Poland still supports Georgia on its path to European integration and will continue to do so. We are convinced that every country has the right to choose its path. I want to emphasize that Georgia's place is in the European Union," said the Polish Prime Minister.
