“Judges of the International Criminal Court [ICC] on January 27, 2016, approved ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda’s request to investigate crimes committed between July 1 and 10 October 2008, in South Ossetia and Georgia. It is noted that the crimes occurred in the territory of Georgia, because the international community does not recognize the independence of the Republic”, military correspondent Arkady Babchenko said.

During this war, I saw a lot of things: I saw the village of Tamarasheni still burning from fires, where, as Comrade Kokoity said:”we have destroyed everything”. I saw Georgian villages still burning from fires… I took photographs…I will give testimony”, said  Babchenko.
